WHY BRAIN AT WORK?

Modern life asks more of our brains than ever before. We are expected to stay focused, make constant decisions, adapt quickly, communicate effectively and perform under increasing pressure—all while looking after our health. Yet we rarely learn how the brain and our system actually work.

Brain at Work was created to bridge that gap.

It brings together neuroscience, nutrition, behaviour change and leadership to translate complex science into practical strategies that help people think more clearly, work more sustainably and perform at their best.

Whether through individual consultations, workshops or keynote presentations, the goal remains the same:

Make science practical, understandable and useful.

MEET TANJA

I've always been fascinated by one question:

Why do some people thrive while others struggle—even when they have the same opportunities?

That question has shaped almost every step of my career. I studied business and economics in Germany and Hong Kong before working internationally in recruitment, leadership and business development. Later I founded my first company in Hong Kong, a nutrition practice that grew into seminars, corporate collaborations, education programmes and a team of nutritionists. Over the years I've worked with busy professionals, families and organisations, giving me a practical understanding of how healthy habits have to fit real life—not ideal life.

Working with hundreds of people taught me something important. Nutrition alone rarely explained the whole picture. Some people knew exactly what to eat but still struggled with focus, motivation or stress. Others performed at a high level despite demanding lifestyles. I wanted to understand why. Why do we think the way we think? Why do we feel the way we feel? And perhaps most importantly, how can we explain that "why" in a way that genuinely helps people?

That curiosity led me into neuroscience and also led me to write two books that translate scientific ideas into practical tools people can use in everyday life. Today, Brain at Work brings together everything I've learned from business, nutrition, education and brain science. Because health, leadership and performance are not separate disciplines. In real life they influence each other every day.

I help individuals, leaders and organisations understand how nutrition, attention, motivation, stress, movement and recovery influence the way we think, work and perform.

I'm not interested in complicated theories. I'm interested in helping people understand their "why"—and use that understanding to make small changes that create lasting impact.

Because high performance doesn't start with working harder. It starts with understanding the brain behind the work.
